On Thursday, the 3rd of May 2012, at 9.30 a.m. there event Open Talent: "Innovation, technology and territorial competitiveness" will take place at the UPC School, as part of the postgraduate programme in Strategy and Regional Competitiveness in collaboration with the Catalan Ministry of the Economy and Knowledge.
The session will focus around three keynote speeches to analyze best practices in technological action and innovations applied to the strategy and competitiveness of regions, with an international outlook, thanks to the success story of the Fraunhofer Institute, and with an outlook on technology transfer with the vision of a transfer model applied to technology parks.
The event programme is the following:
9.30 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.: Welcome ? Presentation by Xavier Ferràs, the Director of the Entrepreneurial Innovation Unit of ACC1Ó (Generalitat of Catalonia).
10.00 a.m. - 11.30 a.m.: University Tech Transfer, with Bruno Cassiman, professor of Strategy at IESE Business School.
11.30 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.: Coffee break
12.00 p.m. - 1.30 p.m.: International best practices: Fraunhofer Institute, with Frank Wagner, Head of Competence Center R&D-Management.
1.30 p.m. - 2.20 p.m.: Transfer models: Technology parks, with Pere Condom, director of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Girona.
