Nobody could question that among the major challenges facing humanity is the challenge of providing a solution to energy systems. Our future largely depends on our ability to identify and manage future energy techniques. Electronic, IT and communication technologies must be included in the design of the energy systems of the coming years. This innovative concept, which enables integrated solutions to be identified, has been termed Enertronics.

This is a concept which brings together different technologies in topics such as power electronics, communications automation, electrical systems energy, and programming and microprocessor technologies, all of which are aspects which companies require from their professionals. Nowadays organisations require the figure of the enertronic engineer who, when thinking of a solution to an energy system, also takes the electrical part or the bit microprocessor programming into account.

This postgraduate course in Smart Grids, which is part of the Masters programme, covers all of the major aspects for being able to design, analyse and control intelligent electricity grids (smart grids). Both the economic aspects and those most related to control and power electronics technology will be analysed.

The postgraduate programme covers all of the major aspects for being able to design, analyse and control intelligent electricity grids (smart grids). Both the economic aspects and those most related to control and power electronics technology will be analysed.

Final Project
With the final project, students worked for a reminder of the agenda for the postgraduate and demonstrates that it has acquired the necessary knowledge.

To obtain this degree it is necessary to have an official or recognized university degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree or diploma. Otherwise, the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya will only award them a a certificate of completion.
