Master's degree. Face-to-face.

UPC School

To get the highest production and energy efficiency when using a group of coordinated industrial machines you need to make sure there is proper communication between them and their external environment, to automate their function controls and know how to apply the necessary IT tools to these devices.

Industrial machines and products designers must define and provide solutions for the components they create, especially when they are increasingly being incorporated into other electronic devices. Mechatronics is defined as the process of integrating these mechanical, electronic, and computer technologies.

This master's course will provide device and product designers, who normally base their experience on the mechanical engineering field, with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate mechanical and electronic elements. This course provides up to date solutions for industrial communication, language and IT environments used in industrial control.

Aims

  • To integrate electronics, informatics and communications technology into the design of a component or mechanical system.
  • To design mechatronic components and systems that are better adapted to product needs.
  • To automate the function of mechanical systems and make it possible for them communicate with their environment.
