Next Thursday 5th June 2014, the Tech Talent Center (c/Badajoz 73, Barcelona) will host the Open Talent: "Managing human capital in Correos. Corporate culture and internal organisation", with Luís Pérez Capitán, director of human resources at Correos.
Correos has experienced important organisational changes in recent years, following the Strategic Plan 100, 300, 1500 with the main goal of turning this post company into the best provider of physical and digital communication services and parcel delivery in Spain, with more than 130 concrete actions established for periods of 100, 300 and 1,500 days.
The human resources department, led by Pérez Capitán, has gradually adapted to and promoted a culture of change in the organisation. The implementation of policies to assess performance, a pioneering practice in public companies, the management of talent or advanced training in management have all been very useful tools that, used efficiently, have made it possible for the company to get good results, while meeting the organisational needs.
The speaker
Luis Pérez Capitán is a Labour inspector and has a PhD in Law. Since 2009 he is the Director of Human Resources at Correos.
He is the author of many articles and monographs on Labour Law, Social Security and Risk Prevention. He has also taught at the Universidad Pública de Navarra, and was the Territorial Director and chief responsible for Labour Inspections and Social Security in the region of Navarre until he joined the company.
