An Open Class is to be held at 07:00 PM on tuesday 17-09-2019 at the Tech Talent Center (Badajoz, 73. Barcelona) on Masters in e-Health Technology Innovation.

This session will be taken by Dr Ferran Fillat i Gomà, a doctor specialising in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology and the head of the 3D Laboratory at the Hospital Parc Taulí.

To date, medicine has been a field exclusively for doctors. However, the synergy between doctors and engineers will become one of the key factors at hospitals in the health sector's transformation towards personalised 4.0. medicine.

The use of 3D printing in surgery provides a clear example of this. Dr Fillat is leading a pioneering project in the application of 3D printing in the planning and application of surgery. In this session, you will learn how to apply 3D printing to solve real cases. You will also find out about the role of engineers in planning surgery, designing positioning and incision guides, and in the preparation of anatomical models.

If you are a student, doctor, lecturer, or you are simply curious and interested in finding out about the opportunities in this field, come to this masterclass.

This event is open and free. To attend, please confirm using the "I Will attend" form below. Limited places.
