The Open Talent session "The Role of the Executive in Innovation Management: a Business Perspective" with the innovation expert Enric Barba, will take place at the Tech Talent Center (c/Badajoz, 73, Barcelona), on Tuesday 29 October at 7 pm.
The need to innovate in the broadest sense of the company as a whole is being emphasised today, as the value of innovation comes from its economic exploitation, its focus on results and a return on the investment in innovation must be sought. This requires strong leadership from the entire management team in order to implement a business strategy through client-focused projects.
The speaker
Enric Barba holds a doctorate in engineering and a master's degree in Business Management and Organisation from the UPC. He is President of the CECOT Innovation Club, a member of the Innovation Committee at Vall d'Hebron Hospital and of the Board of Trustees of the Department of Electronic Engineering at the UPC. He has held executive positions at Cirsa, Terra, Sony, Roca and Philips. He was a lecturer on the master's degree in Organisation and Engineering of Production at the UPC. He is the author of the books Innovación 100 Consejos [100 Tips for Innovation] and Cómo Gestionar la Innovación [How to Manage Innovation].
