Date: 14-11-2019
Timetable: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Tech Talent Center (Badajoz, 73. Barcelona)

Open Talent session "What Are Businesses Looking For In Engineers to Address The Challenges of BIM?" will take place at the Tech Talent Center (c/Badajoz, 73, Barcelona), on Thursday 14 November at 7 pm.

Building projects and infrastructures are adopting new ways of working that involve the implementation of BIM in engineering assignments. So the question is: what technical and human skills must engineers have to be able to participate in these projects?

To answer this question, we have invited three speakers to participate in a round table discussion, in which they will answer various questions about why they are backing the talent of engineers when undertaking projects in BIM.

Moderator:

  • SERGIO MUÑOZ, a graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is the co-founder of the start-up BIM & Partners, which provides consultancy and training services on BIM. Director of the Advisory Council of the OpenBIM master's degree at the UPC School. General Secretary of the Spanish Chapter of buildingSMART, of which he was president for 5 years. He is also the chair of the BIM UNE-CT41-SC13 standardisation committee.

Members of the round table:

  • ALBERTO ACEVEDO, Head of Mobility and International Selection at Ferrovial
He has 8 years of experience in the HR departments of Spanish multinational companies in the IT, industrial and construction sector, and has always been associated with international projects and the management of professionals working in the field. In addition to Spain, he has worked in the USA and recently with Ferrovial in the United Kingdom, where he was head of the selection area for that market.

  • JESÚS PERUCHO, Associate Digital Delivery Information Manager at BrydenWood

He has a degree in Architecture from the ETSAM and an MBA from the IEB, and has worked in various architectural disciplines - urban planning, detailed design, project management, construction, contract management and currently BIM. He has experience in residential and educational projects and above all in the field of transport (high-speed railway stations and airports).

A technical architect specialising in industrialised construction, architectural envelopes and BIM methodology applied to the construction phase. In the last 3 years, he has been involved in the production phase in projects as prestigious as Santiago Airport in Chile, and the Sagrada Família in Barcelona.
