An Open Class is to be held at 07:00 PM on thursday 06-02-2020 at the Tech Talent Center (Badajoz, 73. Barcelona) on Masters in Open BIM in Development and Project Management.
Using OpenBIM facilitates the coordination and optimisation of a project in both the design and construction stages. An example of this is the project undertaken by Losinger Marazzi and his partners in the Vortex building, a unique ring -shaped building 137 metres in diameter on 8 floors, with over 30,000 m² distributed on two faces and across 1,000 rooms, which will house the athletes of the III Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, and subsequently the students and teachers of the University of Lausanne and the École Polytechnique de Lausanne. Using OpenBIM has provided high quality results within the anticipated timeframe.
The speaker
Miguel Bermúdez Astillero graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante, is a BIM Manager and a specialist in management and regeneration of the city, landscape and territory. After three years as an architect in Spain and France, he has been coordinating and managing OpenBIM projects with Losinger Marazzi in French-speaking Switzerland since 2016. These projects include the Vortex building, the Olympic Village of the III Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne.
