Date: Wednesday 29-10-2025
Class schedule: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Location: Online
Contact: 931120883

An Open Class is to be held at 06:00 PM on wednesday 29-10-2025 of the Continuing education master's degree Offshore Wind Energy (Face-to-face).

In this practical session, we will discover the key elements that guide major decisions in the design of an offshore wind farm. The main thread will be the turbine, the heart of the project. We will make an initial technical approach and analyze how its selection can make the difference in the performance of a specific site.

We will highlight the importance of fully understanding the wind resource in all design phases and how it conditions decision-making.

The session will conclude with a sensitivity analysis applied to a real wind farm using Youwind, one of the world’s leading commercial tools for offshore wind farm design. We will see live how the scenario changes depending on the selected turbine and how these decisions impact the overall outcome of the project.

This open class will be held in English.

Speakers
