Next Monday, May 6, 2013, FAD – Fostering Arts and Design (Pl. dels Àngels, 5-6, Barcelona) will host the Open Talent: "Natural Movement of Light", given by the lighting designer Tapio Rosenius.
Tapio Rosenius is the founding member and director of Lighting Design Collective, located in Madrid. This studio of multi-disciplinary professionals focuses its work on using light as an asset, a reactive mean, and an artistic mean that is central to building spaces and sensations. At this conference held at FAD he will be introducing his own personal reflections based on the research he carries out on the natural movement of light, exploring concepts such as transitions, time, tension and artificial intelligence as a set of variables that also intervene in the process of lighting design.
The presentation "Natural Movement of Light" will include a large sample of videos and examples of international projects carried out by the Lighting Design Collective (LCD) directed by Rosenius.
This Open Talent will be given in English.
This event is open and free. To participate please confirm by filling out the form “I WILL ATTEND” which you will find on the side of these lines. THIS EVENT HAS LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE.
Cycle of conferences on Lighting Design
This conference is part of the annual cycle of conferences under the framework of the postgraduate programme in Lighting Design sponsored by Artemide, a leading company in the industry of residential and professional lighting with an international prestige. The first of these conferences, bearing the title "Light Sensitive Urban Space", was offered by the Italian designer Filippo Cannata, and took place last February at the FAD.
The profession of lighting design brings together knowledge in technology, design and sustainability, imagining and projecting light based on the space and always in relation to other activities and needs of the human being. It is a discipline of the future for architects, engineers and designers.
