Next Wednesday the 9thOctober 2013, at 6.45pm the Auditorium of Cosmocaixa (c/Isaac Newton 26, Barcelona – Science Museum) will host the Open Talent: "The expansion of videogames in gambling" + "Elite3d and the experience of triple A games".
The expansion of videogames in gambling
The first of these interventions "The expansion of videogames in gambling" will be by Enrique Sainz, the lead programmer at Zitro. Zitro was created in 2007 and since then has become a large multinational whose main goal is to implement video bingo throughout the world. In this conference, Enrique Sainz will be explaining the lead taken by Zitro in the gambling industry and will analyze the key elements of videogames created for these platforms: from operating systems, hardware platforms, games created or quality assurance mechanisms in this field. Sainz is actively participating in the development of the first 3D videobingo project, which will soon be launched on the market. Previously he worked at Pyro Studios developing games such as Commandos 2 and 3, and Strike Force. He also was on the team of programmers at Digital Chocolate and worked at Virtual Toys studio.
Elite3d and its experience in triple A games
The second part of the Open Talent will come from the studio Elite3d and its experience in triple A games, presented by one of the studio members, Oscar Ferrero. He will be talking about the growth experienced by this small company that has existed for nine years, a time during which it has managed to develop Triple A games for Xbox 360, games for mobile devices and social networks. He will also explain their most recent experience developing games for Xbox One, the new consol that will be launched around Christmas. Oscar Ferrero started working in London as a games developer for Xbox on jet skis and the gale for the film Catwoman. In 2004 he founded the studio Elite 3D together with José Luis Queral and since then he has combines working as a graphic artist, modeller, textualizer and post-production editor, while recently he has been focusing more on managerial tasks as the co-director of this studio.
Annual presentation of projects from the masters in Videogame Creation and Development
This event will also serve to present the final projects by the students from the master's programme in Videogame Creation and Development and the master's programme in Animation, Digital Art and Videogames from the UPC during the last edition of the programme in 2012-2013.
