Why this postgraduate course?
The constant demand for professionals in the ICT sector continues to grow. In the last year it has increased by 40% in Catalonia, while the available profiles have grown by only 7.6%. Thus, the lack of ICT professionals is now the first obstacle that companies find to grow and carry out their strategies, especially when the managers and leaders of these teams are one of the most difficult vacancies to fill. There is, therefore, a constant demand for new CIOs who successfully lead and manage a good ICT strategy in organizations.

A good preparation of current and future CIOs (Chief Information Officer), a position also known as IT Director or Director of Information Systems, is essential nowadays. With this objective, the postgraduate program in CIOs Advanced Business Program is born, an executive program adapted to cover the professional skills required for this profile, providing an updated view adapted to the digital society of the 21st century.

The program offers a practical and applied vision of IT management, comprising IT strategy and IT-business alignment, IT resource management (which includes services and solutions, finance and talent), while providing a vision of innovation and entrepreneurship in the current context, with a complete vision of emerging technologies for digital transformation, and which will include a practical project.

  • Manage and direct an IT department aligned with business objectives.
  • To be able to manage company resources (data, apps, finances, people, etc.).
  • Acquire a strategic vision of ICT applied in the various environments of society and business.
  • Understand the state of technology and new approaches and management techniques.
  • Lead the digital transformation for innovation in an organization.
  • Develop and lead a global project for an IT department.
Who is it for?
The postgraduate course targeted for technical professionals in the STEM field, economists/ADE or any professional in the IT environment, with management aspirations and a business vision.

It is especially aimed at people with some experience in IT management (project managers, service managers, quality managers, CTOs, etc.) who aspire to a managerial role and seek to acquire the business vision.
