Why this postgraduate course?
The graduate Course program is offered in response to a need to provide architects, and professionals related to the study of the territory, additional instrumentation suitable for the design of the landscape, in the specific subject of tourism treatment as a motor of territorial management. The course will be a choice of analysis and intervention on the landscape in a different way from the most common, derived from the study of the territori on a larger scale. The demand for such studies is large and growing, and requires the proposal of a program like the one presented in order to output the current awareness of the landscape theme.
Aims
The academic objective responds to the current awareness regarding landscape issues and environmental intervention, in which different disciplines converge, some directly involved with the aesthetic and technical aspects of the intervention: the landscape, architecture, urbanism; others linked to civil engineering, agriculture and forestry; and other with scientific training in the fields of environmental science or planning to geography, economics, law, etc. The master focuses on the design of the intervention and protection planning, but also in the transformation in natural and artificial landscapes. That is, in the design of parks and public spaces in the treatment of spaces that need to improve, be protected and restored, specifically in coastal systems and river areas, in the management and planning of the natural environment, and in environmental management when subjected to changes of use that substantially modify the area, as in the new agricultural and tourist areas.
Who is it for?
The postgraduate course is aimed to young professionals who show interest in the landscape, especially in landscape graduates, university graduates in fields such as architecture, agronomy, geography, biology, engineering, etc. and graduates interested in landscape intervention. Alternative also addresses to professionals trained in technical careers, that have followed their own training profiles related to this field (study abroad, postgraduate courses ...) sensitized by the intervention in the landscape. It is aimed to young professionals and Spanish and foreign graduates who want to upgrade, recycle, deepen or broaden their education in the fields of instrumentation of design and landscape management. The studies facilitate the incorporation in interdisciplinary teams interested in this professional profile, with prior related training.
