Why this programme?
Designing industrial machines and equipment in this industry involves producing polymers, elastomers and compound materials that must comply with a wide variety of requirements like shape, aspect, environmental behaviour, production volume according to cost, etc. Nowadays the designer has a growing diversity of compliant materials and processes at their disposition. Special attention is given to the processes that allow for a high degree of versatility when manufacturing in small production runs. The purpose of this postgraduate course is to provide the knowledge and tools needed to make the best decisions in terms of the functions, shapes, materials and processes based on the requirements of each polymer, elastomer or compound material they wish to design and implement these decisions during this course by doing component design exercises.

    Postgraduate diplomas issued by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Issued pursuant to art. 34.1 of Organic Law 4/2007 of 12 April, amending Organic Law 6/2001 of 21 December, concerning Universities. To obtain this degree it is necessary to have an official. Otherwise, the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya will only award them a a certificate of completion.

    Sergi Parareda, exalumno del máster en Ingeniería Mecánica y Equipamiento Industrial de la UPC School, ha sido el ganador del University Steel Prize 2018 , el único galardón internacional que premia las ideas y productos en soluciones de acero. Sergi Parareda ha sido elegido ganador por su investigación innovadora sobre la resistencia a la fatiga de los bordes recortados en acero de alta resistencia . “La combinación de la comprensión de este complejo fenómeno con las pruebas prácticas y la obtención de interesantes conclusiones hace que el proyecto de Sergi destaque entre otras propuestas", destacó Linda Petersson de SSAB, presidenta del jurado del Swedish Steel Prize 2018. Como parte de su tesis, Sergi Parareda combina sus estudios con la investigación en la Fundació CTM y en Scania AB, para estudiar en proyectos reales de vehículos pesados ??la resistencia a la fatiga de los bordes recortados en acero de alta resistencia. Su proyecto ha contado con el aval de la universidad y un instituto de investigación, así como un fabricante de camiones.

    How to start admission
    To start the enrolment process for this programme you must complete and send the form that you will find at the bottom of these lines.

    Next you will receive a welcome email detailing the three steps necessary to formalize the enrolment procedure:

    1. Complete and confirm your personal details.

    2. Validate your curriculum vitae and attach any additional required documentation, whenever this is necessary for admission.

    3. Pay €110 in concept of the registration fee for the programme. This fee will be discounted from the total enrolment fee and will only be returned when a student isn't admitted on a programme.

    Once the fee has been paid and we have all your documentation, we will assess your candidacy and, if you are admitted on the course, we will send you a letter of acceptance. This document will provide you with all the necessary information to formalize the enrolment process for the programme.
