Why this continuing education course?
A very significant proportion of the structures projects are those involving intervention in existing structures, in which the analysis, verification and calculation methodology differs widely from new structures. In addition, it is necessary to have a very broad-based perspective of all the fields involved in a project of these characteristics, and to be able to propose solutions which are appropriate, economical, safe and simple to build. This course presents a wide range of solutions for the different types of structure, considers real cases that must be resolved and defended, and in a very short time, enables students to acquire a sound foundation to begin working in the world of structural restoration.

This continuous training course is much more methodology-oriented (without neglecting technical issues), training the student in the professional fields of structural restoration, a field experiencing major growth in professional career prospects.

The curriculum has been prepared based on the experiences of the teaching team on previous courses at both university level and in the professional sphere. This provides the basis of reference for the contents of this programme, which is supported by the ACE (Association of Structural Consultants) and the IEE (Institute of Structural Studies), the leading institutions in the sector.

Aims
  • Training in the analysis and diagnosis of existing structures.
  • To acquire knowledge of the design and calculation of reinforcements and repairs.
  • To provide criteria for intervention in existing foundations and structures.
Who is it for?
The recommended profile for admission is professionals related to the areas of design, calculation and management of structures in building.

  • Industrial and civil engineers.
