Why this programme?
This module discloses the proper functioning of electrical equipment when they are connected in the electrical network.

Therefore, they are studied from the disturbances that there are in the electrical network, to the devices that are connected, with their corresponding maintenance.

The transformers, the generators, the motors, the low voltage devices, the generators, the lighting, are some of the elements studied from the point of view of maintenance.

The contracting of electric power, although sometimes managed by the department in charge of maintenance, is also dealt with in this module.

We also highlight the study of the regulations that refer to the review of facilities.

  • To provide maintenance technicians with comprehensive knowledge in industrial installations and techniques to be able to avoid breakdowns using proper testing and diagnostics.
  • To offer the means and knowledge needed to resolve breakdowns quickly and safely.

Degree
Lifelong learning diploma issued by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Issued pursuant to art. 34.1 of Organic Law 4/2007 of 12 April, amending Organic Law 6/2001 of 21 December, concerning Universities. To obtain this degree it is necessary to have an official. Otherwise, the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya will only award them a a certificate of completion.

Learning methodology

The teaching methodology of the programme facilitates the student's learning and the achievement of the necessary competences.

Learning tools
Participatory lectures
A presentation of the conceptual foundations of the content to be taught, promoting interaction with the students to guide them in their learning of the different contents and the development of the established competences.
Practical classroom sessions
Knowledge is applied to a real or hypothetical environment, where specific aspects are identified and worked on to facilitate understanding, with the support from teaching staff.
Case studies
Real or hypothetical situations are presented in which the students, in a completely participatory and practical way, examine the situation, consider the various hypotheses and share their own conclusions.
Assessment criteria
Attendance
At least 80% attendance of teaching hours is required.
Level of participation
The student's active contribution to the various activities offered by the teaching team is assessed.
Solving exercises, questionnaires or exams
Individual tests aimed at assessing the degree of learning and the acquisition of competences.

He has more tan 10 years of experience in managing lighting installations.
  • Grande Gámez, José María
    Holds a Degree in Industrial Technical Engineering, specialising in electronics (UPC). He has worked in the Industrial Safety sector at TÜV Rheinland Iberica for 20 years, and as Technical Director of Electrical Engineering for more tan 5 years. He is a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) according to the EVO IPMVP International Protocol. His área of responsability currently involves major projects in both the electrical (low voltaje, high voltaje, ATEX) and energy efficiency fields.
  • Juliench Sáenz-López, Jordi
    Degree in Industrial Technical Engineering in Industrial Electronics. Master's Degree in Industrial Mechatronics. He currently works at the company Tecnotrans Bonfiglioli, S.A. as Head of the Customer Application Engineer Area.

    Degree in Technical Electrical Machinery Engineering. He currently works as Technical Director at company Polylux, S.A. A member of the Technical Standardisation Committee CTN 201/SC 96.
  • Ortuño Juárez, Jorge
    Holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in electricity, from the ETSEIT (UPC). Currently Director of Engineering and Services at Tecnotrans Bonfiglioli, a subsidiary of the group for Spain and Portugal specialising solutions and services of for efficient mechanical drives, motion and IIoT. How to start admission
To start the enrolment process for this programme you must complete and send the form that you will find at the bottom of these lines.

3. Pay €110 in concept of the registration fee for the programme. This fee will be discounted from the total enrolment fee and will only be returned when a student isn't admitted on a programme.

Once the fee has been paid and we have all your documentation, we will assess your candidacy and, if you are admitted on the course, we will send you a letter of acceptance. This document will provide you with all the necessary information to formalize the enrolment process for the programme.
