Why this programme?
The course consists of introducing the students to open data as an improvement to the dynamic knowledge of territorial changes. The means of access to those sources of information and their processing are complementary to the standard cartographers in strategic territorial studies.

The course examines various analytical systems of territorial attributes effective in decision-making, ranging from multi-criteria systems, to spatial relationships, to advanced linear systems aimed at establishing strategies based on dynamic segmentation and routing or navigation. However, various platforms are used, including ArcGIS, QGIS and Geomedia. For better monitoring of the program, it is advisable to have advanced knowledge of ArcGis and QGIS. In the case of not having this knowledge, the possible access of the interested parties will be studied personalized.
Aims
  • To find out about the main bases and sources of information, contents and exploitation processes related to territorial analysis.
  • To attain the technical ability to perform a structured process of territorial information analysis in a GIS environment.
