Air Safety and Aircraft Maintenance

Master's degree. Face-to-face.

UPC School

The primary objective of aeronautical and aerospace engineering is to ensure all aspects of air safety, which covers all the areas involved: equipment, systems, aircraft and aerospace vehicles, as well as training centres, maintenance organisations and the certification of continued airworthiness.

The professional sector includes all civil and military aviation activities and as a result, all EASA Part 145 aircraft maintenance centres and systems, EASA Part 147 training centres, Design Organization Approval (DOA), Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMO), technical departments in air transport companies, and service stations for repairs and modifications to aircraft.

The programme is designed according to the emerging professional profiles and categories in the sector, meeting the needs of a highly dynamic sector and providing access to employment for technicians specialising in the design, operation and maintenance of aircraft.

This Master's Degree in Air Safety and Aircraft Maintenance is the only one in Spain to offer full training and the necessary certificates which with professional experience in the civilian and/or military aircraft field lead to obtaining the Aircraft Maintenance License (LMA). It also includes EASA courses on subjects that complement the advanced specialist training for aeronautical engineers, aerospace engineers and aeronautical technical engineers on aircraft maintenance.

The inclusion of advanced subjects in this programme that are not included in the syllabus for degree courses means that graduates can work in the regulated professions of Aeronautical Engineer and Aeronautical Technical Engineer respectively, and professional internships in aeronautical companies provide students with thorough and advanced knowledge that means they can immediately find employment in real working environment.

Our co-operation with the most important companies in the aeronautical sector also means that we can guarantee that our training is appropriate to meet the needs of a sector in which these companies have a high international profile, and provides the opportunity for internships during the course.

The majority of our teaching staff are working professionals with recognised prestige working in the leading companies in the sector.
