Lean Six Sigma Improvement Programmes. Black Belt

Postgraduate course. Face-to-face.

UPC School

Six Sigma is a strategy of improvement, a tool designed to make companies more efficient and competitive. It is based on an organization with clearly defined responsibilities, a monitoring process of the stages, which guarantees that nothing important will be left aside and the use of data (conveniently gathered and processed) for decision-making.

This course targets professionals wishing to improve their skills to drive improvement projects. The profile of participants is very diverse, with very different experiences. The point in common is that they have all been involved in improving the processes and activities in their companies. However, quality control using Lean Six Sigma tools can be used for a wide range of disciplines. In this sense we have trained engineers, pharmacists, biologists and psychologists among others. Managing quality is a crosscutting issue and can be done in industrial processes as well as in the service sector.

Among participants we may find people who have been working on borderline issues dealing with quality, production, customer service, laboratories or purchases.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leading and assessing teams working on improvement projects with a high impact.
  • Identifying which situations are convenient to apply each of the available techniques successfully.
  • Training new trainers. Spreading and teaching the concepts, attitudes and tools learnt during the course.

Who is it for?

  • Professionals who wish to increase their level of training in order to lead improvement projects.
