The Open Talent session on "Financing and the investor's role in the development of mobile applications", with Carlos Blanco, one of the pioneering entrepreneurs in the Internet sector in Spain and a business angel for dozens of entrepreneurial projects in the field of new technologies, will take place in the Tech Talent Center (c / Badajoz, 73, Barcelona) at 6:30 pm on Thursday 25 September, 2014.

During his talk, he will discuss current investment trends in digital projects, such as the investor-development team relationship and practical tips to attract an investor's interest, using examples of success in the mobile business and gaming sector, from the perspective of an entrepreneur with over 15 years' experience in creating start-ups.

This event will also present the final projects that the students on the master's degree in Mobile Business & Apps Design at the UPC School carried out in the programme's academic year 2013-14.

The speaker

Carlos Blanco is an entrepreneur and business angel in the new technologies sector. He is the founder of the ITnet Group, a holding company specializing in digital entertainment, from which more than ten companies have been created. He is also founder and chief executive officer of Akamont Entertainment, a company producing traditional social and casino games, which is a leader in southern Europe and Latin America. In 1999 he co-founded Spain's First Tuesday forum, the leading meeting point for Internet entrepreneurs and investors, and he has recently created the Conector start-ups accelerator.

His personal blog, www.carlosblanco.com, is essential reading for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs, as is his Twitter account, @carlosblanco. He has been included on El Mundo newspaper's list of Spain's hundred most influential people in the last two years.
