The Open Talent session on "Crushing Data for Fun", with Jan Wedekind and Felipe Mata, Senior Business Performance Director and Senior Data Scientist respectively at the video game and digital entertainment multinational King, will take place in the Tech Talent Center (c/Badajoz, 73, Barcelona) at 7:00 pm on Tuesday 27 January, 2015.

King is a leading company in the video games sector, with over 190 entertainment titles in 200 countries. Their successes include Candy Crush Saga (one of the world's most important games in terms of the number of followers), Farm Heroes Saga and Bubble Witch Saga - titles that are played by an average of 348 million unique users per month (figures for the third quarter of 2014). Users interact with these games on web and mobile platforms in billions of rounds a month. At the conference, Jan Wedekind and Felipe Mata, from a dual corporate and technical perspective, will discuss the crucial importance of Big Data Management for King and will give examples of how it is managed to constantly improve their products and their playability.
