Online Conference: "The Appraisal Institute & Uniform Professional Standards (USPAP)

The online lecture on "The Appraisal Institute & Uniform Professional Standards (USPAP)", by Richard Lee Borges II, partner and member of the board of directors of the Appraisal Institute, will take place online at 4 pm in Monday 15 June.

The Appraisal Institute (AI) is the leading international institution in the certification of real estate appraisers and valuers. We will find out about the workings of the institution in North America and internationally, and its and standards of professional practice, which are covered in the "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice”.

This free and open lecture, which is taking place as part of the Online Master in Real Estate Valuations will enable Spanish and Latin American appraisers to broaden the prospects of their professional practice in their work. We are dealing with a new scenario in which foreign investors are seeking advisers who know about local markets, as well as the added value of international standards.

THE SPEAKER:

Richard Lee Borges II
A certified appraiser and real estate broker (MAI, SRA, GRS-AI, AI-RRS, AACI (Hon.), GRI), he was president of the Appraisal Institute in 2013 and is a member of the institution's board of directors, and is also a partner. He is a member of the Indiana Association of Realtors and the Crossroads Association of Realtors.

He is a certified lecturer in "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice" and has contributed to several books and manuals on appraisals, as well as teaching at Ivy Tech State College.

He is a partner at Borges Borges & Real Estate Advisors. His business area focuses on residential, commercial and agricultural appraisals and valuations of intangible assets, consulting, mediation, brokerage, real estate development and studies. He created Cross-Continent Real Estate Mediation and Arbitration to assist parties in resolving disputes related to appraisal. His clients include companies such as Wal-Mart, financial institutions such as JP Morgan and the US Government (the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development), among others.

This lecture will be given IN ENGLISH and will take place ONLINE.

At the end there will be a round of questions for the speaker using the platform's chat feature.
