Next Monday, the 25th of June, at 8.30 p.m. El Molino (c/ de Vilà i Vilà, 99, Barcelona) will host the event “Light at the Paral·lel”, organized by the UPC School in the framework of the postgraduate programme in Lighting Design.

The event has the following programme:

8.30 p.m. – Conference "Quando la luce incontra l'architettura"(When light meets architecture), given by Mario Nanni.

Mario Nanni (Bizzuno 1955), an pioneering artist and visionary in lighting design, the creator of Viabizzuno and currently in charge of his own design line. Among his many works we find the lighting on the façade of La Scala in Milan, the Italian Pavilion (Venice Architecture Biennale, 2010) or the Gucci museum, among others. In Spain, he was in charge of the lighting of the Zabalburu square in Bilbao and the Gaudí Centre museum in Reus. He directs his own studio ‘Mario Nanni Progettista’ with offices in Milan, London and Barcelona. 

9.30 p.m. – Round Table "Light and Urban Lighting", with the participation of:

- Mario Nanni, Lighting Designer.

- Vicente Guallart, Manager of Urban Habitat and the lead Architect at the City Hall of Barcelona.

- José Cardona, Member of ED1 Design Light Studio and the person in charge of the Burgos Master Plan on Lighting and Public Lighting under the framework of the European PLUS Programme (Public Lighting Strategies for Sustainable Urban Spaces).

- Maurici Ginés, Lighting Designer, director of the Studio ARTEC 3 and the Chair of the Professional Association of Lighting Designers (APDI)

- Maria Güell, Lighting Designer, Founder of the studio La Invisible and co-director of the UPC School postgraduate programme in Lighting Design.

10.30 p.m. – Architectural Projection Mapping – El Molino.

Live Architectural Projection Mapping exercises on the façade of El Molino carried out by the students of the postgraduate programme in Lighting Design, directed by Santi Vilanova, a visual and sound artist at Telenoika Mapping Crew. This event has the collaboration of BAF – Innovació i Creativitat Audiovisual.
