For several years now, in most of the world dense cities, new urban policies have been put in place to reduce car's spaces. The urban night represents 50% of a city time. So, the mutations of the urban and landscape lighting will become soon a specific territory to explore in order to better respond to climate changes, to offer a new nocturnal urbanity and to rediscover darkness in our cities.

Roger Narboni, lighting designer and president of CONCEPTO lighting design studio.
French lighting designer, Roger Narboni launched in 1987 a new discipline called light urbanism and has realised since then more than 150 lighting master plans and around 20 dark infrastructures as well as numerous landscape, urban and architectural lightings in France and abroad. He is now a worldwide expert for city lighting strategies and has developed prospective researches on the future of urban lighting..
