For the fourth year running, the main mobile communications industry event will take place in Barcelona. The GSMA Mobile World Congress combines the worlds largest trade fair in the sector with a congress that brings together prominent leaders and personalities involved in the field as mobile operators, equipment vendors, Internet providers and content managers.
The 2009 Mobile World Congress is expected to attract 50,000 attendees. Under the slogan Think Forward, the challenges of the current economic situation will be examined and strategies will be proposed for achieving sustained growth. The chief executives of AT&T, Microsoft, MySpace, Nokia, NTT DOCOMO, Telefónica, Telenor, Verizon Communications and Vodafone have confirmed their participation as speakers.■
