The 2009 IEEE 69th Vehicular Technology Conference will be held in Barcelona, Spain. The VTC brings together individuals from academia, industry and government to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of mobile, wireless and vehicular technology.

This edition will feature world-class plenary speakers, panel sessions, tutorials, and technical as well as application workshops. Highlights from this year will include discussions about the future of broadband wireless technologies, as well as the potential of Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. There will also be discussion about WiMAX technology, the new generation MIMO-OFDMA-based technology that will usher in the 4G era, the Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks (CRAHNs) and Cognitive Radio (CR) technologies used to solve the problems in wireless networks.

The 2009 VTC is an opportunity to access trendsetting ideas and technologies that represent the next level of vehicular connectivity.
