According to the Fintech Global Vision 2023 report by the Finnovating consultancy, the fintech sector in Spain is made up of 977 companies that account for more than 12,000 direct high quality technological jobs involving high levels of digital skills, and this figure is expected to increase considerably in the near future. 70 new fintech companies were established in 2022 alone, and Spain is the third ranked country in Europe in terms of the number of techno-financial companies.
The fintech sector includes a wide range of products and services, including mobile banking, e-payments, asset management, lending, crypto-assets, online insurance and many others. This sector is a focus of constant innovation, and uses advanced technologies including blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation, among others. The change of model in financial technologies has created many business opportunities, and a high level of demand for professionals specialised in the field.
The UPC School and the Barcelona Finance School are jointly organising this postgraduate course in Fintech Technologies and Applications with a strong practical focus, which is aimed at professionals wishing to understand, manage and develop applications with financial technologies. The postgraduate course is taught by leading professionals, and includes comprehensive training on finance (models, markets, instruments, applications, use cases, etc.), data analysis applied to Fintech, secure applications, blockchain and the development of decentralised applications (DApps) and decentralised finance (DEFI).
